Ballet

Ballet is a classical dance genre that originated during the Italian Renaissance and later developed in France and Russia. It is characterized by its precise and highly formalized movements, including techniques such as pointe work, turn-out of the legs, and high extensions. Ballet often tells a story or expresses a theme through its choreography, which is performed to classical music. The genre emphasizes grace, discipline, and technical skill, with dancers undergoing rigorous training to master its demanding techniques. Ballet is performed in various settings, from grand theaters to intimate studios, and continues to evolve while maintaining its rich traditions.

At The Dance Spot we offer ballet classes using the Royal Academy of Dance (usually known and RAD) syllabus and examination format.

Additionally, we provide classes to the more advanced students with staff and guest teachers of different styles and methodologies.
